Fender has chosen to donate the funds to the trust, in acknowledgment of the essential function local spots fulfilled in his early career.

These funds supported spaces that were facing potential shutdown due to difficulties stemming from floods, fire incidents and bereavements, as well as permit problems, court cases and neighbor objections.
Other venues were granted monetary aid in upgrading facilities and sound and lighting systems that helped musicians and audiences.
